Q. What is in each villa apartment on arrival ?
A. Kakera Villa Apartments are self service and set up fully furnished. All bedding linen and towels are included. The Villas are self catering and kitchens are fully equipped with cooking and dinning equipment. Kakera provides a complimentary starter kit offering; juice, water, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and oil, dish washing liquid and washing machine powder, soap and a roll of toilet paper, mosquito coils, glad wrap, foil & a replacement bin liner. There is a self service laundry on the complex and an iron and ironing board in the apartment.
Q. Is there internet at the Kakera Villa Apartments?
A. Yes Kakera is on a BlueSky WiFi hotspot this will show on your device at Kakera. This is a pay as you use voucher service. As Rarotonga internet is satellite it can be slow, intermittent and expensive, the upside is how refreshed you feel taking cyba addiction rehab in a tropical paradise. Q. How do we get around?
A. A bus service running hourly both clockwise and anti-clockwise stops at the apartment complex gates. Renting a car motorbike or pushbike can be done at two rental place within a short walk from Kakera or at the three rental esablishments in the local village 2 km south of Kakera.
Q. How close is the beach?
A. Getting to Kakera beach from Kakera Villa Apartments - simply walk out the back gate and down the pathway on to the beach.
Q. Is Kakera Beach a swimming beach?
A. Kakera Beach is a private coral reef beach so sitting in and exploring reef pools, boogie boarding and surfing are the kinds of activities enjoyed here. The closest swimming beach is a three minute drive to the south. Remember you are on a tropical island - there are many beaches to explore!
Q. How far to the closest shop?
A. There is one convenience store, one general store and a petrol station within 600m of the Kakera Complex gate.
Q. How far to the nearest restaurant?
A. All Kakera Villa apartments are fully self-catering. A lunchtime cafe 1 km to the south and a morning coffee shop a short walk to the north. The local Muri village - 2 km away has a selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and takeaway shops. Muri food night market from 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, a most do.
